Using your Media Library

Your media library stores all the images and any other media files (e.g. PDFs) that you have uploaded to your site.

Even if you have uploaded these items through your posts or pages (rather than directly into the media library) – they will still be stored in the Media Library.

Also – even if you delete images or media files from your pages or posts – they will still remain in the library.

Add a media file:

  1. From your WordPress Dashboard – click on MEDIA and you will see all your media files listed
  2. Click ADD NEW and you can upload a file from your computer to the library
  3. To edit a media file – hover over the title and a menu will appear or click the title to go to the media file
  4. Edit or delete the file – filling in the ALTERNATIVE TEXT is a good thing to do for SEO
  5. Click UPDATE.
