Using Widgets

If your chosen theme supports widgets – you will be able to add widgets to the specified widget areas.

These areas are usually in the sidebar or the footer (for example you may have a text page with a sidebar – this is a widget area).

You will be able to add content such as archive lists, latest posts or latest comments, text, images and more. Remember you can style your Widget text using Shortcodes.

To add a widget:

1. From your WordPress dashboard – go to APPEARANCE > WIDGETS
2. Choose your widget and drag it to the correct widget area and it will appear on your site
3. For some widgets if you click on them they open so you can add extra information – for example a title or text.
