Cinnamon Pro/Lite comes with three main areas for your images:

You can of course place other images into text areas.

The recommended sizes are as follows:

Homepage slideshow

Width: 950
Height: 600px or less // 400px for Cinnamon Lite

Homepage gallery feature images

(The theme will resize these automatically)
Width: 300px
Height: 250px

Gallery images

Width: 940px
Height: 627px

Blog images

Width: 640px
Height: 300px

If you are switching from another theme, you will want to install and run the Regenerate Thumbnails WordPress plugin to resize your existing images.
